Rent termination

Rent termination

1

1. Cancel your rent

Every day of the month you can terminate your rent. You have at least one month's notice, but you may of course give longer notice. The earlier you give notice, the more likely it is that a new tenant will be known with whom you can discuss takeovers.

Important!
- If you are under guardianship, only your administrator may terminate the rent.
- If you got the property via home exchange, you may only terminate after you have rented for 12 months.

2. Housing delivery

Within 3 working days, we will contact you by phone to schedule an appointment for the preliminary inspection. During this appointment, we will discuss how you will hand over the property.

If you vacate the property, we would like to get it ready for the next tenant quickly. It is therefore important that you leave the house in good condition when you leave. You can read how to do this inthe checklist for handing over the house. We also discuss what still needs to be done in the house during the preliminary inspection.

3. Takeover

You may want to offer items to the new tenant, such as curtains, furniture or a dishwasher you installed. The new tenant is not obliged to take them over from you. If the new tenant doesn't want to take over your goods, or there is no new tenant yet, you will have to take your things away.

Overtakeovers should be arranged with the new tenant yourself. To do this, use the takeover list that you fill in and sign together with the new tenant. You will leave the takeover list in the house. Woonpartners is not a party to this.

4. Return of keys

You will hand in the keys at our office no later than the last day of the rental. You may also hand in the keys earlier if that suits you better.

5. Final recording

After handing in the keys, we carry out a final inspection of the property. We will check whether you have left the property as we agreed during the preliminary inspection. Have you failed to keep an agreement? Or do we see damage that we did not see during the preliminary inspection? Then we will repair the damage.

You will receive a survey report and a final bill after the final inspection. This will include possible costs for things that were not completed as agreed. You will also find any over- or underpaid rent on the final statement.
